Stuttgart is located in southern Germany and despite being the sixth largest city in the country, extends a warm friendly welcome to its visitors, something not usually associated with larger cities. Car enthusiasts will be in their element in Stuttgart, and trips to the Mercedes Benz and Porsche museums are a must! For the more cultured, head for the Kunstmuseum, which is the glass-walled Art Museum, or the Staatsgalerie, the impressive State Gallery, which includes works by Picasso and many other popular 20th century artists. Food here is a traditional affair, with popular dishes such as knuckle of pork, duck and ox all being accompanied by the ever-present 'Kohl und Knödeln' (cabbage and dumplings). Of course, this has to be washed down with a large beer - this is Germany after all! So why not fly with Austrian Airlines to Stuttgart and sample this unassuming city first hand?
