Split
Located on the peninsula Marian, Split forms the port of Dalmatia at the Croatian Adriatic Coast. The main attraction of the country's second largest city is the old town (since 1979 UNESCO world cultural heritage) with the Sveti Duje Cathedral and the Palace of Diocletian. Split is determined by romantic lanes, a variety of little boutiques and the probably most exciting nightlife of Croatia. Tourists must visit the Riva, the famous port promenade on the edge of the historic district.
