Baku

With a population of over 2 million, Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan. Situated near the Caspian Sea, it is an important location for the country's sea port. Recently renovated, the Fountains Square serves as one of the city's main attraction, consisting of various shops, restaurants and on occasion, public festivals. Cultural sights include the Maiden Tower - a design by Masud ibn Davud dating back to the 12th century.
