Sharm el Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh is one of the major diving destinations of Egypt. It's located on the Red Sea about 500 kilometres from Cairo on the southern tip of Sinai. One of the best known snorkelling and diving areas here is Naama Bay. Colourful fish can be seen by just swimming a few metres into the sea and also the corals are very close on the shore. Along the beach many hotels also offer day trips to St. Catherine, the famous monastery and of course diving courses. Restaurants offer a wide range of traditional and international food and bars have excellent drinks. As many hotels operate on an all inclusive basis there will hardly be any crowd. Sharm El Sheikh is a good alternative for those who look for Arabian life, dazzling beaches and crystal-clear waters.
