If you like to visit South West Russia fly with Austrian Airlines to Krasnodar and make this your starting point. Within an hour or two you can reach the Black Sea and as it is an important traffic junction of the whole region you can get everywhere by the M4 motorway. Being a tourist have a look at the important sights like the steel lattice hyperboloid tower, the State Arts Museum or St. Catherine's Cathedral. The cathedral was named after Catherine the Great who granted this land to the Black Sea Cossacks which founded Krasnodar in 1794. On the other hand if you are interested in music you can also follow in Anna Netrebko's footsteps who was born in Krasnodar in 1971.
