The Moldovan capital city of Chisinau is an enticing destination for travelers. With a history spanning two World Wars, Chisinau is emerging as a highly cultural city. Many of Chisinau's museums and monuments have survived to this day, and offer an excellent perspective on it's struggled past. Coming into the 21st century, nightlife consists mainly of many existing and new concert halls and theaters, all providing a good selection of traditional and contemporary pieces. Traditional Moldovan cuisine is a hearty affair, with such delicious dishes as pork stew (Tocana) and pork sausage (Mititeyi), which is usually served with peppers and onions.
